✵Education – GPSC Class-1 & 2 Recruitment 2026
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil) or Technology (Civil) obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possesses an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
Possess a Bachelor’s degree of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or “bachelor’s degree of Veterinary Science” obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other Educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and have been recognised under Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 or a recognized veterinary qualification included in the first schedule or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984;
- Possesses the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967;
- Possesses adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or Both
Possess a bachelor's degree obtained from any of the University established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 in one of the following subjects as principal subject, namely: (i)Botany, (ii) Chemistry, (iii)Geology, (iv)Mathematics, (v)Physics, (vi)Statistics, (vii)Zoology, (viii) Microbiology, (ix)Biotechnology, (x)Bio-chemistry, (xi)Environmental science, (xii)Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, (xiii)Agriculture, (xiv)Forestry, (xv)Horticulture, (xvi)Engineering /Technology.

4. Accounts Officer, Class-1
a degree in Master of Commerce obtained from any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grant Commission Act, 1956; and (ii) have about three years combine or separate experience of the work related to accounts and audit, in the Government/ Governmet undertaking/Board/Corporation/Local bodies/University/Banking organization established by law/company registered under the Companies Act, 2013/chartered accountant’s firm.
- a degree in Bachelor of Commerce obtained from any of the Universities or institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grant Commission Act, 1956; and (ii) have about five years combine or separate experience of the work related to accounts and audit, in the Government/Government undertaking/Board/Corporation/Local bodies/University/ Banking organization established by law/company registered under the Companies Act, 2013/Chartered Accountant’s firm

5. Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1, Gujarat Civil Services, Class-1 & Class-2 & Gujarat Municipal Chief Officer Service, Class-2
- A candidate shall hold a bachelor’s degree of any University incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State Legislature in India or other educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by Government as per the Recruitment Rules for the post. (2) Candidates who have completed 20 years of age by the last date of receipt of application forms and have appeared or are about to appear in the last semester/year examination of the prescribed qualification but whose results have not been declared may apply for the Preliminary Examination, but they should have obtained the educational qualification mentioned in the advertisement by the last date of application for the Main Examination. Candidates who have been declared eligible by the Commission for the Main Examination are required to send proof of passing the Degree Examination along with the application form for the Main Examination
