- Candidates must typically hold a Degree, Diploma, or National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the relevant engineering or technical field from a recognised university or institute, combined with the prescribed years of practical/ teaching experience. Post-wise detailed educational qualifications are clearly defined in the respective official notifications.
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: Typically 35 Years for Class-III posts.
- Age Relaxation: As this is a special drive exclusively for Divyang (PwBD) candidates, a maximum age relaxation of up to 10 years is applicable under Gujarat Government rules. The maximum age limit, including all relaxations, must not exceed 45 years.

The selection will be conducted through a single-stage Objective Type Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Examination (CBRT or OMR based). There is no interview for Class-III technical posts.- Part – A 90 Marks: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Mathematics, Gujarati & English Comprehension
- Part – B 120 Marks: Subject-specific questions related to the applied Trade Group’s educational qualification and its applications
